I was approached by the principals of Keystone Luxury Homes as they were starting this business venture. The two builders had a prior working relationship, but this was a new partnership between them to build the finest luxury homes that Charlotte, NC had to offer.
I began by examining the relationship between the principals and their connection with their home state of Pennsylvania (the Keystone state). That connection played through into the logo with each of them represented by a swash of color and the state between them, creating the K in the company name.
Bringing the design into the company stationery was an easy choice, with the color purple, the color of royalty, being prominent. Their homes represented prosperity and elegance, and thus, their branding color should represent that as well.
For their print collateral, I utilized the images of the representative homes, letting their quality and construction play through. Their work tells the story and my job was to let it have the stage in this 16 page, pocket & die-cut engineered, leave-behind brochure.
When you think of Radon, what do you envision? If you're like most people, your first thought is of the danger caused by radon gas drifting unchecked through your home. Radon Check gave me the task of creating an identity system that expressed the urgency of the need while not scaring the socks off of Northwest Indiana homeowners.
The nuclear symbol is an identifiable symbol for dangerous radiation, as radon is a naturally-occurring radioactive gas. The danger element was there, as was the informational aspect of it entering your home via the ground. I created both a horizontal and vertical lock-up of the logo for different uses,
Their identity also applied to their informational flyers for their radon mitigation systems, their print collateral brochure and vehicle graphics to be a mobile billboard for the company. It's a pleasure to see these vehicles out on the road!
